Project goal:The main objective of the proposed joint project (linking psychology of aging with informatics) is to overcome the limitations of older adults when facing complex decision-making tasks involved in e-commerce.
The ambitious goal of the current project is to design an original and novel e-commerce platform for improving (mostly by learning, heuristics for preferences elicitation, adaptive optimization of user interface,
and giving individualized recommendations immune to wrong teaching examples) the suboptimal strategies of older adults in conducting some complex consumer decision making tasks, such as:
a) multi-attribute choice tasks
b) adaptive foraging decision behavior
c) sequential choice tasks
